of Organic Matter in Cropping System and In Ecological Optima
Organic matter consists
0f a vast variety of living or nonliving plant and animal material ranging from
kitchen wastes and dead leaves to well-rotted manure and compost. Ecological
plays an important role in control practice of organic matter. Organic matter
management practices are also affected by temperature, light and decomposition.
Organic matter consists
of Green manure, Farmyard manure, Compost, Slurry, Crop residues, Press mud and
Poultry manure. Organic matter adds
minerals for plants ,herbs ,shrubs
through giving surfaces areas
where minerals can be adhere in store
in the soil, organic matter improve the physical and chemical structure of
soil ,also improve the drainage
condition of soil ,increase the water
holding capacity of soil, helps increase air aeration, enhance the efficiency and numbers of soil living genism’s and
also improve the environmental structure
of microorganisms. Organic
matter are managed through controlling the crop residues properly and determining
the new crops stubls which enhance the fertility of soil. Organ matter also managed
by tillage, burning, mulching and also animals feeds. Tillage is the best
management practice to manage the organic matter. Our agriculture officers do
not recommend the burning practice to manage the organic matter.
Green manure Practice of growing crops (mostly
legumes) and ploughing them under the soil when their tops are green. Crop residues are also managed by Incorporation
in soil, Burning and Withdraw from field (feed and fuel).
Chicken manure can be define as waste materials of
chickens which is applied to fields like organic matter to enhance the
fertility and productivity of soil. Of all animal manure, it has the
highest amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Tillage practice improve the
efficiency of organic matter. Organic matter penetrate nurtures to the soils,
improve pH of soils, and also improve the CEC.
waste consists dairy animals, chicken manure, urine, dung, fodder wastage by
mouth and , Feedlot runoff, Silage juice from ridge and furrow and silage wasted as a feed. Effective Waste Management
System consists of Collection, Transportation, Storage and Treatment and
utilization. Animal Waste Management
Option consists of Solid manure handling, Slurry manure handling, Dry stack
storage and Liquid manure handling. All these practice are used to manage the
